Didima has a good mix of sweet veld on the lower lying plateau and sour veld in the higher areas with12 hectares of pasture under dragline irrigation fed by gravity.
The farm is 600 hectares in extent with a carrying capacity of 4 hectares to 1 Large Stock Unit on the veld. The owner reports an annual rainfall of 588mm per year measured over the last 37 years. The two irrigation dams are fed by a steady stream of fountain water, used to irrigate the 12 hectares of developed pastures by means of gravity.
There are an additional 9 stock dams which are supplemented by a steady fountain network from which water is pumped to a more than adequate system of tanks and troughs.
The road system is easily navigable. Fencing is in good condition and stock proof.
A large farmhouse looks over the Post Retief district and has magnificent mountain views from almost every room. Nearby is a sizeable double garage with a workshop that has elevated storage room, 2 cold rooms, 1 freezer room and more than enough space for every tool necessary. Staff accommodation consists of 6 staff houses in good condition.
A fully functional shearing shed is within walking distance of the house. There is sufficient under roof shelter for 1800 sheep, an indoor feedlot with a raised floor, a large lucerne storage shed and a smaller stone shed for implements and tractors.
The sprinklers and drag line hoses are not included in the sale of the Farm.
